Waterfront Homes In Vero Beach

Waterfront homes in Vero Beach Florida are a great choice.  Vero Beach is a fabulous location. You’re on the Treasure coast in Indian River County.  Vero Beach is about 1 hour and 20 minutes to the West Palm Beach airport and about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Orlando Airport.  Vero Beach has both a mainland community and also a barrier island which is nestled between the beautiful Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean.  As you can imagine most of the most expensive homes are on the island.

There are many waterfront homes in Vero Beach Florida from which to choose.  One thing to consider when buying a waterfront home in Vero Beach that there are area that have deep water and others are very shallow. It behooves you to hire someone to check the water depth if that feature is important to you.

On the island there are many communities boasting waterfront homes in Vero Beach.  On the south end of the island you have the Moorings where most of the waterfront homes in Vero Beach are on deep water and are closer to the Fort Pierce inlet, affording easy access to the Atlantic Ocean.  The Anchor in the Moorings is guarded and is man made in the shape of an anchor.  Other waterfront homes in Vero Beach that have some areas of deep water include Pebble Bay, parts of Cache Cay and areas behind Village Beach Market.

There are also other luxury communities with waterfront homes in Vero Beach Florida such as Riomar Bay, John’s Island, Castaway Cove, Orchid Island Estate and Marsh Island.

If Oceanfront Homes are what you’re seeking, there are numerous oceanfront homes from which to choose.  Some of my favorite beaches are in Castaway Cove and Seagrove.  If buying an oceanfront home you really need to investigate the beach and research your insurance options before purchasing.

The Mainland offers waterfront homes in Vero Beach also.  “The Fingers” is a mainland community on the Indian River where many of the homes are older, but it’s a great location between both bridges and just minutes to the beach and shopping.

The least expensive waterfront homes in Vero Beach are in a deep water community called Vero Shores.  Adjacent to that community is River Shores which is a newer waterfront community with Key West Style homes, also with deep water
